a. December Sky Events around Bahia de La Ventana:
On, or soon after Sunday, December 5, a thin crescent new
moon should be visible in the west just after sunset. Friday
evening, December 10, telescopes will be set up at the El
Sargento Science Fair for viewing objects such as mountains
and craters on the moon, Jupiter's satellites, the Andromeda
Spiral Galaxy, the Orion Nebula, and some of the brightest
stars in the sky. Tuesday, December 14, the Geminids meteor
shower, averaging around 100 “shooting stars” per hour,
should begin radiating from the constellation Gemini and the
bright star Castor as they rise in the NE around 8 p.m. Best
viewing will be after the moon sets around midnight. Late
Monday evening / early Tuesday morning December 20-21 a
total eclipse of the moon will occur. Maximum totality is at
1:17 a.m. Tuesday morning. More information will be
available a few days before each event. TS

Thank you for writing all your suggestions. This is the list
I sent in to Aramburo:
chicken stock, white and brown flour, brown rice & basamati,
mountain high non fat or sugar yoguart, American butter
salted and non salted, cheese cheddar, parmesan. low fat and
skim milk alta dena or swiss, whipping cream, 1/2 & 1/2,
coffee creamer, coffeemate international delight, pita
bread, ryvita crispbread, crisco, beans kidney & white,
pearl barley, chocolate for baking white and milk chocolate,
cranberry juice, Waltham or Hogar dog food. I think that's a
good start. I'll send more later.
Remember you can get some of these items at Walmart or
City Club once Chadruie cuts us off completely. Mady said
the manager at Aramburo used to manage CCC so thats a good
start. If you are in Aramburo feel free to ask when the
stuff will come in and thank them for their efforts.

At least 3 homes (ours Susan and Larry, Mark and Renee and
Dave and Jane) were all Vandalized this past week, the
damage was extensive .It seems what they wanted was the
copper wiring as they stripped it right out of the walls and
under ground. This will be quite expensive to repair. We
live above Mr. Bills. People in the area should be on the
look out.

c. I'm pleased to announce the newest design of the best
EVER, over sand, small boat launching system will be ready
to ship February 2011!
My goal has always been to keep them maintenance free, light
weight, and durable. This is why I originally designed them
with all aluminum parts and composite wheels with nylon
bushings rather than heavy, bolt on, grease using, wheels
and hubs. After 6 years of feedback on this design I have
made the decision to opt for durability and strength over a
small amount of extra weight, (about 5lbs per side). To this
end, I have teamed up with Tie Down Engineering, the largest
manufacturer of marine boat trailer parts in the USA, to
design and build a custom aluminum axle spindle and a
pre-greased galvanized hub with a sealed bearing system. The
aluminum spindle will maintain the light weight requirement,
but will also have a stainless steel wear sleeve for the
bearings to ride on to prevent grooving in the softer
aluminum. The sealed, pre-greased Galvanized hub will add
some weight but I think it will be a welcomed trade off to
the extra strength and durability it will provide. In
addition, the new kit will feature lite-weight polished
aluminum rims that bolt onto the sealed galvanized hubs. I
am confident that this new design will be far superior while
still meeting or exceeding my 3 important parameters of;
maintenance, weight, and durability.
For the hundreds of existing, loyal, Baja Boat Wheel
customers who are now using the composite/bushing wheel
system I will continue to supply you with free nylon
bushings for the life of your kit. If, however, you would
like to upgrade to the new design, there is a simple
solution without having to buy a complete new kit.
The new kit cost will be $649.00 (only about $100 more than
the old kit). To retrofit your existing kit you will receive
2-new polished aluminum wheels, 2-new custom axle spindles,
and 2- new galvanized sealed hubs, all for $259.00. For more
