As Mary and Buzz told you, my
dad passed away the morning of
Christmas Eve. We are all
grateful that he caught one last
marlin on his one last trip down
there over Thanksgiving. The
entire family and close friends
will be spreading his ashes off
Hotel Buena Vista on May 7th,
which is right before his
birthday and our favorite family
time of year down there.

ROAD REPORTS
a. Received 12-25-10 @1pm: I
just spoke with the Old Mill in
San Quintin. They say they are
having nothing but sunshine, and
they haven't heard of any road

Road report
We have just travelled down the
Baja and are sitting in the
restaurant at Trapoli. We
crossed the border at TJ on
Christmas morning (no traffic).
The weather has been perfectt.
We suspect that we're between
storms. Christmas day we drove
to Catavina with no problem.
There is some road construction
north of St. Tomas that was for
about 6 kms. Not a problem
during the dry weather that we
had. Next day we drove to
tripuli south of Loretto. Roads
were good! As usual watch for
cattle and dogs. And, oh yes,
also watch for bicycles (those
people have death wishes - and
may not realize that they put
others at risk as well). We plan
to arrive in Los Barriles
tomorrow! Can't wait! See you

experienced the small
crack in the windshield which creeps and grows till the windshield
has
to be replaced. To stop that crack before it grows I can recommend
Carlos in La Paz. His phone number is 612 348 2652. He speaks some
English and fixing cracked windows is his specialty. He is located
on
Jalisco. I'm not good with the street names in La Paz, but you head
towards the ocean on Jalisco till you come to a Pemex on your
right,
then katy-corner to the pemex is a lot selling used cars and his
little business is in that lot. He did the repair right away and
for
