FIREWORKS CANCELED!
With great regret we must cancel
the planned New Year’s Eve
Fireworks Extravaganza. Although
the proper permits and
documentation were in hand for
transporting in Baja, the
California Border Patrol seized
the load. Our Pyrotechnic
Canadian sponsor with the
fireworks purchased in
Washington State onboard was
misinformed that fireworks could
be transported in California,
and they cannot. Scrooge had a
hand in this one and sadly, the
entire extravaganza cargo was
taken and we are now without
fireworks for our community
event. We are determined to work
on behalf of the Recycling
Effort for our local school
children as their administration
and teachers believe it is an
extension of their school s’
philosophy that we care and
protect our plant. Please look
forward to a great community
event next year and again we
send our apologies to you and
share your disappointment. We
had received donations from
enthusiastic participants and
invite you to contact us for the
return of your donation.

THUMBS UP!
a. Just had lunch at the new
restaurant on the highway
(Pizzeria), impressive menu and
we had the best Gyro in many
many years. Great Greek salad
and the hummus and homemade
bread, excellent. A Greek style
eatery in LB, what do you know.
If the rest of the menu is
anywhere near as good as the
Gyro's then this will be a very
busy place.
