I recently used a computer shop
in La Paz to repair my wife's
Mac Book. Their service was
excellent!!! and I'm a computer
geek. I just found out that they
not only are an authorized Mac
repair shop but they also repair
Window's computers. When you
bring an item to the shop, these
guys inventory everything you
bring (so nothing is misplaced)
and email you when the job is
complete. Their English is
great. Their prices are very
good, considering the quality of
their work - excellent. The

We had Dinner last night at the
new restaurant on the highway
(Pizzeria), Wow! The food
quality was impressive and the
quality of the service was
exceptional.
The Ambiance was very nice and
was greatly enhanced by the
Charisma and charm of the Greek
Chief who will speak to you in a
charming Greek accent to explain
the preparation of various
dishes and will make
recommendations which tends
makes dinner an event to
remember. We have to rate the
experience a “10” without

ANSWERS TO
QUESTIONS
a. Removing rusted lug nuts: Try
any of your rust inhibitor
sprays and just keep on spraying
and waiting, eventually it will
soak through the threads and the
nuts will come right off. It
might take a day or two, but
they will come off.....And, when
you are trying to break the nuts
free, use an extension on the
handle of your lug
wrench...anything that is 3 or 4
feet long and will fit over the
lug wrench--sometimes a piece of
1-inch or 2-inch pipe will work.
With that leverage, it WILL come
off....Bill
b. FM STAMPING IN OR OUT
(1) My experience with FM3
stamps on flying out/driving
back was YES get your book
stamped when you return to Baja.
Drive to the airport and get it
done there. All exit stamps must
have a corresponding return
entry. I saved my Ensenada toll
road receipt (first point of
re-entry and it's dated) and the
immigration agent redialed his
date stamp to correspond to the
receipt and stamped my book.

(2) In answer to the person who
wanted to know regarding getting
his FM-3 stamped at the border.
In the past one had an FM-3 or
FM-2 in the form of a booklet
and as per the law one had to
have his FM-3 or FM-2 stamped
every time one entered or exited
the country. Now the FM-3 and
FM-2 are ID cards and there is
no such requirement. One who
holds such immigration documents
now have to get an FMM at the
point of entry and give it back
at the point of exit.
One must be aware that it is not necessary
to hold an FM-3 OR FM-2 because
one has a real estate property
or a business. The only reason
for one to hold an FM-3 OR FM-2
is if one is in the country for
more than 180 days other wise
one can enter and exit with only
an FMM which replaced the FMT
(tourist card). The maximum stay
is 180 days and one must exit
the country at the end of the
indicated period on the FMM.
One should have an FM-2 if one is living in
Mexico, in other word has
immigrated, and has property so
as to be able to be completely
or partially exempt from ISR tax
(capital gain tax) at the time
of selling the property or if
one wants to acquire the Mexican
