Hola ,
As you know every year we have sea turtles arrive to the East Cape Coast line and last year we had our second season with them. Our non profit organization ( PATRONATO CABO DEL ESTE ,A.C. ) worked hard to accomplished the goal to protect them. By patrolling every day we found over 250 nests last year, 5 of them were from leather backs and 3 from green turtles but only 30 of them hatched and  the rest were eaten by coyotes , dogs , people etc .. so as you can see it was a big loss of them. This year we would like to protect them better but we need help. Last year a couple of local Americans loaned us a couple of ATVS and the Hotel Palmas de Cortez and Villas de Cortez helped us with gas and hotel support when we need it. This year also we hired a marine biologist to keep track and log every nest and also to build a nursery where we think it can be best to protect the nests. With the volunteer group and your help it can be done !! Also this year we became a part of the Sea Turtles Network in the Baja Peninsula , and we went to our first yearly meeting hosted in Loreto to do a presentation for the East Cape first time ever. Please check our web page is www.bajaturtles.com  Also last October we had our first Turtle Queen from the communities from Los Barriles , Buena Vista , La Capilla and La Rivera , and we had such a great event approx. 500 people attend.  Kids , parents , tourist , etc . and our non profit teaching summer school environmental education for local kids is such a success !!  Also we worked together with the local authorities such as PROFEPA ( Environmental Protection Agency ) CONANP ( National Parks Agency ) they allow to place signs on your beach if we need to or fence your beach if we have to . please check in front of Palmas de Cortez as an example !

f. Does anyone know if Pat Parker is still in LB? For the past several
years, he has taken down my dish after I leave for the summer, stows
it inside my house and reinstalls the dish after hurricane season. He
acquires my satellite signal so that TV is available when I return in
