Found: When we arrived here on Nov. 7 we found a
fluffy white female terrier living under our car, mothering a
kitten. Both are still here. Anybody loose a very sweet dog and
kitten? The dog has no collar, is very quiet and friendly. We have
yet to hear her bark. Our house is at the top of the hill, in town.

Vegetables organic sale on Tuesday November 22 10 am
Nominations for the first annual Amistad award is
now closed. All the members of East Cape Rotary and myself wish to
thank all of you who took the time and effort to nominate your
favorite person. The response was awesome. All nominees will be
turned over to the Rotary selection committee and an announcement of
the recipient will be announced early next year. The award banquet
will be held on March 24. Again, thanks for your interest.

WATCH. With the moon a waning crescent and not rising until after
midnight, the dark evening sky is ideal for star gazing this week.
The sun sets around 5:30 pm. By 6:15 pm the planet Venus is shining
brightly low in the west. Below it, at about the 5 o'clock position,
you can find the planet Mercury, the closest planet to the sun.
Binoculars are helpful. Mercury will be setting soon after 6:30 pm.
High in the eastern sky the planet Jupiter, along with its 63 moons,
is shining brightly. At least one of its 4 largest moons can usually
be seen through binoculars or a small telescope. Around 9 pm the
constellation Orion has risen just south of due east. High in the
northern sky, just to the east of the prominent Great Square of
Pegasus, with a sharp eye or scanning with binoculars you can locate
the faint glow of the spiral galaxy Andromeda, the closest galaxy to
our own Milky Way galaxy. With some trillion stars, Andromeda has
more than twice as many stars as the Milky Way. On Thursday,
November 24, a new moon at perigee (the moon's closest position to
the earth) will produce a series of higher than normal tides
beginning on Tuesday this week around 6 am and occurring about a
half hour later each morning until Sunday. Next month the full moon
will rise on December 10, and as it sets early the following morning
it will be in total eclipse as it passes through Earth's shadow. Tom a. called a mechanic in La Paz that Les Brown had recommended some time
ago via BPE. JOSE ELIAS JAYAT "cured" my machine and a neighbor's
generator as well. Though his English may be limited, his knowledge
