The Sling Box systems work worldwide as well as
in Baja. I have two units that I have used for years. They are a
good option for the traveler but will not replace Satellite TV in LB
for large screens. The clarity of the picture works well on screen
sizes up to 19" but when expanded to our 42" flat screen, it becomes
difficult to view. The newer systems allow you to watch recorded
video from your DVR. It is possible to view Sling Media on smart
phones and Ipads. Be careful, only certain models of the Sling Box
work on those devices. I recently purchased the Sling Box Solo HD.
When I have it up and running I will let everyone know if it
improves the picture quality. The downside is bandwidth. If you are
sharing your internet with someone or are connected to a large
network that shares bandwidth, you may be disappointed as would
others on your shared network. Remember you must have broadband on
both ends! The Sling Boxes can be used over a local network to allow
viewing in other rooms. In general, I love it for travel but not my
primary source for content.

Also, there is a Banorte Bank on Allende St. east of Isabel laCatolica (again towards the mountains) that usually has easy parking where you can pay your fees. Ralph Weaver & Tico Gonzales (Cha Cha’s brother) partnered up to give the East Cape it’s first local source of gas.
