a. On Wednesday, May 30th at 2:30am in North
Beach we were awoken by the sound of a car as well as the
headlights. When we looked out side we noticed a dark green minivan.
Not 100% sure because it was dark and it happened fast but it looked
like a Mercury Villager van. It had at least 3 people in it,
including a Mexican woman. One man came out with a flash light
heading towards our entrance door to our garage. We yelled out and
he jumped back in the van and they took off. Hope these people will
get caught!
b. As we all know and some of us that have
experienced invasion of our personal property and loss of personal
property, that possibly we need to get together as a community and
with our local law enforcements and become more vigilant about what
is going on in our neighborhoods! I don't have any answers but if
we all put our heads together we might come up with some ideas so
that in the future perhaps we can feel once again one of the reasons
why we made East Cape Area our choice and that was that we felt
pretty secure here. So if you would like to help organize a meeting
and we need to do this as soon as possible then please email me-

c. Two nights ago the fishing boat, Dottie BII was
broken into. Eleven rods and reels were stolen after the door
was busted open. This boat belonged to my father, Togo Hazard.
When he passed away he left it to his captain and close friend,
Vicente Cosio. The value of the stolen gear was estimated by
Felipe Valdez to be about $20,000. My daughter and son-in-law
started a website to raise money to help Vicente replace the
gear. He doesn't have the ability to do so without our help.
Please help Vicente if you can. Fishing season is just starting
and this boat is his entire livelihood.
