 Dog
in need of short term foster care. Last minute need to travel north
leaves our foster dog without a home for a few weeks. She's
available for adoption, but we will willingly re-foster her on our
return if she is still in need of a home. Healthy, happy,
large female, under 1 year. Good with other dogs, very affectionate.

The Los Cabo Humane Society will be here on the 22nd of January to do a
spay/neuter clinic at La Cancha in downtown Los Barriles. All
animals must be pre registered at the DIF next to La Cancha starting
Thursday January the 15th so that we have a count of how many
operations we will need medication for. Animal registration on the
22nd will begin at 8am. Please inform your workers of the clinic.

ALMA Rummage sale will be held February 1st. Any
donations will be appreciated and can be dropped off with Sheila or
on that Saturday, January 31st. at the Hwy 1 Storage Unit. A special
thank you to Pat Ryan for allowing ALMA to hold their sale there at
his facility. Volunteers are needed for help on Saturday the 31st
from 9:00 - 12:00 or for as long as someone would like to stay to
help set up. Sunday's volunteers are needed to pack up at
approximately 12:30 - 1:00. Strong men who can lift boxes are
especially appreciated when closing up after the sale.

RECYCLE NEWS!! It's Movie Night Under The Stars
presented by East Cape Recycling Baja! Join us on Tuesday, January
27, for the terrific and suspenseful movie, GONE GIRL, starring Ben
Affleck, Rosamund Pike and Neil Patrick Harris, and based on the
best selling book by Gillian Flynn. Affleck plays Nick Dunne,
husband of "Amazing Amy", who suddenly disappears on their fifth
wedding Anniversary. With Amy's disappearance having become the
focus of an intense media circus, Nick sees the spotlight turned on
him when it's suspected that he may not be innocent. You will be on
the edge of your low-back chairs (!), which you may place as early
as 5:30, poolside, at East Cape Casas & RV Resort (entrance across
from the Modelorama) for a 7pm start. This is a fundraiser for ECRB
and 100% of the monies collected goes to fund recycling efforts and
environmental education right here in Los Barriles. We request a $70
peso donation and we'll be selling beer, wine, water and our
theater-style popcorn (with real butter and sea salt!) See you at
