organized by the Cabo del Este Fishing Club. We expect to see all of

made from this tournament goes to the gifts and prizes that we give
out in our Dia del Niño Fishing Tournament (Kids fishing tournament)
the last Sunday of every April. Please help us to make this event a

Baja Ha Ha Golf Tournament!! Join the fun Saturday morning at 9am,
November 28th, playing golf Baja style in the world's largest sand
trap, the 1st arroyo! You don't need any golf experience to play.
Tickets will be sold this Saturday morning 11/21 at the Community
Market, next Monday through Friday 9am-12 noon at Road Runner, M-F
during the day at Homes & Land of Baja, and next Wednesday evening
at Open Mic. You can sign up in groups up to 4 people, or join a
group at check-in. Sign-in is at 9am; clubs, balls, score cards and
rules provided. Beer, Bloody Mary's, pop and water, hot dogs,
baseball caps and other merchandise available for purchase. Tickets

Courtesy of the Ventana View: FYI, we flew into SJD about a
month ago, three people with a total of 8 kites. The customs officer
told us we were only allowed to bring in 2 kites per person and had
to import the other two. We argued that we had never had this happen
before and that the custom forms actually states the you are
allowed, " three surfboards with or without sails". We explained
that our kites were the same as sails and the officer said the kites
are different than sails. After a 1/2 hour hassle he eventually let
us through without charging us duty.
Yesterday my brother flew into SJD and experienced the same hassle,
they wanted $500 dollars or 17% duty from him to import his 3rd
kite, he eventually paid $1000 pesos. I'm not sure who to report
this to, but it feels wrong and I thought it was worth writing
about.
Interested to hear if anyone else has had a similar experience or
has any knowledge of the rules.

Telephone Discussion: I just changed my vive Mexico plan to
the new mobile share plan including talk and data in and out of
Mexico. It took a little work because it is very knew but was able
to put 3 phones on with 2 gigs shared for a great savings. It
includes unlimited talk and text. Just make sure they include the
Att international roaming plus for Mexico there is no charge for
this and needs to be put on all your phones. Also if you don't sign
for the 15 gig plan you may have to talk to them a bit to get less
gigs because that supposedly what you need to buy to get the deal.
