This dog has been hanging around our house in Buenos
Aries for almost a week. We keep thinking someone will come looking
for him. He is well behaved and is very friendly. He is white with
light brown spots. We have a dog and do not need another one. I

I was photographing birds with my wife today up San
Antonio Rd. when I was intercepted by a guy herding cattle. He was
angry, to say the least, squared up to me like he wanted to fight
and told me to leave and not take any pictures, (I understand enough
Spanish to get his drift). I said I don’t understand, I know there's
a fee to pay, but nowhere to pay it. "Can I pay you"? He said no and
turns enough to show me he has a BIG knife and I said I would leave.
He followed me to my car.

Baja Night Sky #85 -- Thursday, Jan. 28,
2016: String of Planets, Space Station (ISS), Iridium Flares: 1)
From 5:45-6:15am, Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Mars, and Jupiter lie
along the arc from Mercury low in the SE to Jupiter high in the WSW.
This arc, the apparent yearly path of the Sun through the stars, is
called the ecliptic since it is only here that eclipses of the Sun
and Moon occur. The constellations of the Zodiac lie on this arc.
From east to west you will find the planets in or near Zodiac
constellations Sagittarius, Scorpius, Libra, Virgo, and Leo.
Tomorrow morning (Friday) at 6:10am, Mercury will be halfway from
Venus to the horizon at the 7:30 o'clock position. The Moon will be
near Mars on Monday, Saturn on Wednesday, and Mercury on Saturday.
2) The ISS will make a bright pass over the Cape Region Friday
evening. It rises around 6:57pm in the SSW, passes between Orion and
Taurus at 7:01, and disappears in the ENE before 7:03. 3) Iridium
communication satellites will start to be de-orbited to make room
for a new fleet. The new satellites will not have reflective
antennas that create the brief Iridium flares. Friday evening one of
the old satellites will flare in the south about 3 1/2 fists above
the horizon. Around La Ventana Bay, look for the 5 second flare to
start about 7:09:22pm. Sharp eyes might catch the satellite coming
from the north 30 seconds earlier. In Los Barriles, the flare will
start about 8 seconds later, and a few seconds after that farther
south. Next year they may be gone.

organism consisting of a colony of hydroids[2] found in tropical and
sub-tropical waters of the Pacific,[3] Atlantic, and Indian
oceans.[4] Although it is superficially similar to a jellyfish, each
apparent individual is actually a colony of hydrozoan polyps. The
blue button is a Chondrophore, which is a group of cnidarians that
also includes Velella and Porpema. The chondrophores are similar to
the better-known siphonophores, which includes the Portuguese Man o'
War.
I found one around Christmas time & was interested also. I knew it

While returning from a camping trip this
past Sunday, our truck+camper (and pulling a trailer with an ATV)
lost all power at the 60km marker north of La Paz . One of our
fellow campers (gracias Debbie, Colleen too) thought to call her
amigos Felipe & Claudia Valdez who in turn contacted Felipe's
father, Sr. Jesus (Chuy) Valdez . Sr. Valdez, who does not know us,
not only located a towing company able to handle our large rig and
tow us back to "Spa" but also put down the very large peso deposit
required by the tow company to come pick us up!
Muchas gracias to Sr.Valdez for his time and effort
making numerous phone calls on our behalf AND checking back later to
make sure that a tow truck had indeed showed up. ! Eddie & Susy
