Sad news, Mela of the
famous Los Barriles Goat Farm passed away Monday. She
was 90 years old. Back in the day it was a special treat when
she and family cooked and served dinner in their home. Mela,
thank you for the memories and you'll be missed. ~~~Cheryl

Our neighbors to the north
On or about Oct. 2 my house was robbed. They torched the lock on one
of the big garage doors but were unsuccessful. They broke a side
door that had locks at the bottom too. They took lots of specialized
tools. All new or almost new, snap on , some had the name Celso on
it. Lots of power tools, grinders, drills, roto hammer, torque
wrenches small and big, tool boxes and so on. A Sony plasma TV, Roku
, DVD player, Mini Sony HiFi system with 3 CD players ,music bullet,
a set of J.A. Henckels knives. Two black or dark grey statues of
Diana the Hunter and many more things. If somebody approach you
trying to sell it to you please let me know. Maybe buy one really
cheap and we can get them this time. We know and the police and
ministerial knows who was one of the perpetrators, thank you, Elsa

Desperate to watch the

hook up a computer to the TV via HDMI cable. Resolution with the
free account is just OK. You can get better resolution with a paid
account. With that paid account, you can use that service with
mobile devices or even the Roku box. Remember the picture quality is
always linked to the amount of bandwidth that you have through your
internet. If people throughout the world tune into USTVnow for the
series, they may not have enough bandwidth as well. But, if it's
free, well you can't expect too much.
Ultra High Definition TV (UHD TV) also known as 4K (4000 lines of
resolution) are the newest, hottest TV's on the market. They look
absolutely wonderful in the showroom. It's like looking through a
window into the real world. Again, it pays to wait. There just isn't
a lot of content out there that supports UHD TV. Sony has content
that can be downloaded to a hard drive system, but again the content
is limited. Netflix will begin to push out UHD content but it will
be compressed and you need a system to decompress it to show on your
TV. Over the air, cable or satellite is not yet available. There are
other equipment issues yet to be addressed. Some audio receivers
will not be compatible as well. In my opinion it's just too early.

a. I have witnessed several people
slipping and falling down on the sidewalk / curb in front of Tio
Pablo's Restaurant this week while working in the Baja Properties
Office. Please be aware that these steep slopes are very dangerous
with sand and gravel causing unstable footing. Please assist
older people in front of the restaurant as someone will really get
hurt ! Thanks , Link.
b. Watch Batteries: In downtown La
Paz, most little jewelry or watch stores sell and replace batteries.
Ask at any store, and at worst, they'll tell you where to go to get
one.
