Hurricane News: I have heard from Dennis
(below) and from another friend...........lots of rain and at 8pm
tonight, they still have power out north of LB.
Just got a note from Shirley Bowman: "So far we have had 2 & 3/4
inches of rain and wind at 54 mph."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I shall of course try and keep Cheryl advised of any new or
interesting happenings in our area but I also now have a blog
available with local news on my web site:
www.paydennis.com . Just go
to the site and click on updates. So for just rain her from Jimena
sometimes pretty hard but mostly light and NO wind as yet. Storm
should be west of Cabo by noon today and west of us by late this
afternoon. Bad news for San Carlos and Mag Bay though along with the
highway. Probably take a hit Loreto and Mulege before it exits at
Santa Rosalia and heads to Arizona by way of Hermosillo. More later
after storm passes. Please pray for those in this storms path.
(Written about 9am this morning, Tuesday. Cheryl)
Have a nice day,
Dennis C. Riley
Sitting here in the rain my thoughts wonder off into the not too
distant future. Are there any old farts like me out there that might
be interested in forming a beach volley ball league? I figure a
minimum of 8 to form 2 teams or 4 of doubles but not sure I'd be up
to THAT much exercise. Strictly topless for now but if it gets off
the ground we could consider co-ed. How about it? Get back to me and
I'll start a list and keep all interested parties informed.
Does anyone know what is allowed into Mexico duty free?? Do they
allow you to bring in food, clothing, utensils, fishing equipment,
boat equipment etc for personal use? Is there a web site that might
clarify what one can bring in without paying duty? Rene Tilley
