Guadalupe and there
will be a lot of people walking on the highway for the annual
pilgrimage.

Samba or Afro-Brazilian Dance class will be offered Tuesdays at 8:30
am and Fridays at 5:15 pm at the Sukhasana Aula next to Pintura

Hello everybody! Just to let you know that our Poker tournament was
a total success! Thank you very much to all the locals who came and
played like pros! We had 60 players from all the south tip of the
Baja. There were guys from La Ventana, La Paz, El Cardonal, La
Ribera, Los Barriles, Buenavista, San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San
Lucas. We gather more 5K USD, that was shared between the last 9
players. Dinner was awesome, and I hope all of you who came enjoyed
yourselves and had a wonderful night, as I did, even that I didn’t
play. So, start practicing for the next one, we are thinking
tentative for Feb 13, I'll let you know later. Thanks again, and
congratulations to all the winners.

RAKU POTTERY by Annette Kaiser, for Sale at the Art Festival at
Colina del Sol, Sunday , December, 13,10-3.
Raku pottery is a process that dates back to 1573 A.D. in Japan. The
process involves glazing bisque fired pottery pieces, using glazes
containing high amounts of copper and other metallic salts. The pots
are then fired to 1800 degrees F. in a gas fired kiln. Upon reaching
the mature temperature of the glaze, the pots are removed and place
in barrels of organic matter to reduce the atmosphere. This gives
the variation in color, ranging from reds, greens and blues to
shades of yellow.

Club Rotario de Cabo Este is introducing a new event for 2010.
Please join us Friday, January 1 for our first annual Run in the New
Year. The 5K Run/Walk will begin with registration at the Los
Barriles Information Center at 9:30, the Run at 10:00, followed by a
Continental Breakfast at the East Cape R.V. Resort. Mimosa and
Bloody Mary cocktails will be available for purchase.
Entry fee, which includes the Run, commemorative T-Shirt and
Continental Breakfast is $25 per person. Additional breakfast
tickets are available for $5.00. Proceeds are used by Rotary to help
fund its many community service projects in the East Cape area.
