Does anyone know the legal requirements concerning bringing a dog to
central Mexico (Cancun) by air. I will be living there 7 months and
will be returning back to the US.

Hola, thank you for your concerns, yes we are open, restaurant-bar
and pool fully open, rooms will all be ready October 16th because we
had to buy new mattresses. We are still fixing some walls that went
down and the airstrip was also very bad but now its in good
condition. It's been very hard for every one in Mulege but
surviving. We hope more people could visit us in the next months so
we can really recover we need tourists to come and visit us. Our
famous pig roast buffet will start next Saturday with music and then
the rest of the year hoping goes good.

b. Sylvia had a post yesterday and I asked
her which bank does she use. There is the answer, Cheryl
I use Marshall and Isley Bank, it has branches all over the country,
and is based out of Milwaukee. My account is in Sedona, and they
give it all back to me when I use my debit/credit card throughout
Mexico and any other foreign country. Not only that its a rewards
card, so, at the beginning of the month they give me cash rewards on
top of that for using the card. I only need to keep a minimum of
$500 between checking and savings, and I am home free. Hasta la

c. I didn't see any comments on money
exchanged at the Banamex Bank in Los Barriles.
Friday, friends visiting from Boston went in (on their own - and
they have no account there) and exchanged $400.00 US dollars each
into Pesos with their passports.
They took a number to see the regular cashiers and each gave the
max. the bank allowed per person, $400.00 USD. The bank gave them
Pesos and did scan their passports, but that was all.
I don't know if they can do $400.00 every day or what - but they can
at least do $400.00 once.
Don't know about travelers checks. We have had friends exchanging
money (US Dollars to Pesos) all this year at Banamex without any
problems.
