DOLLARS TO PESOS
It appears that things are getting a bit "out of control" regarding
exchanging dollars into pesos. Now, we see according to the last
BPE, that banks will NOT exchange Traveler's Cheques into pesos
unless you have a DOLLAR account with them. Does anyone realize how
this will hurt tourism here. Many people travel with Traveler's
Cheques instead
of all cash. The question I ask is the following: Are these policies
with only the banks here in Los Barriles or is it the policy with
the banks in the entire country of Mexico? Does this mean that if a
person comes to Mexico from Europe that they CANNOT exchange euros
into pesos??? I would like to suggest that someone, get IN WRITING
from the two banks in Los Barriles, what their policies are
regarding money exchange. Jim

As we are all packing up to head south REMEMBER to bring your cloth
shopping bags with you. The super thin plastic ones that are given
to us at the LB stores are one of the worst for the environment
(besides easily breaking on the way into your home) so...........
pack a few for your maid and gardener too!!!

RIDES FOR PEOPLE AND STUFF

the 22nd. Looking to get a trailer and haul down a bunch of items
for all the victims of the hurricane and drop off the stuff in CD
Constitution, Santa Rosalia, and Mulege. If anyone knows a good
contact to hook up with in any of these towns to make sure the items
get to those that need them let me know, and if you have anything
you want to donate I hope to have room for more cloths, etc..
