Big Daddy has consulted the weather prognosticators for tomorrow's ROTARY Tres Pez tournament. For our area, they forecast winds under 10 knots with under 2 foot swells. They can't agree on wind direction with some saying North while others say South. All in all, it appears like great weather for fishing. I'll see you at the Palmas lobby between 4 & 5 today (Friday) for those last minute registrations plus meal tickets and Tshirts.

Thursday, May 6 is our next recycle day and will be generously sponsored by ROTARY CLUB Los Barriles! Bring recycles to East Cape RV Resort (behind Otra Vez Restaurant) between 9:30am and 11:30am. Please clean, separate and prepare as noted.. A $50 peso donation to support the program is not mandatory, but greatly appreciated to continue our program. Questions? 1. ALUMINUM CANS---please flatten them.
2. GLASS--ALL COLORS--rinsed out and without caps or corks.
3. PLASTIC BOTTLES- (clear, opaque and colored, all sizes)----rinsed, flattened and without tops please.
4. PLASTIC TOPS TO BOTTLES-- brought in a separate bag or box.
5. HARD PLASTIC (like furniture and/or crates, buckets).
6. CARDBOARD---collapse boxes and tie them in flat bundles.
7. PAPER, MAGAZINES, NEWSPAPERS---separate different materials and tie in bundles.

Over the weekend two adorable puppies and a tiny kitten were left at the Amigos Clinic in Playa Norte.
Nobody was there to care for them until Monday morning.
We have found foster care for the puppies but the kitten is in desperate need
of a caring family to foster her or better still, adopt her, if that is possible.
She is very a sweet grey tabby, about 4-5 weeks old and is getting very bored in her little cage.
If you have some love to spare consider taking this little sweetheart.
The clinic is open Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays between 11.00 am and 3.00 pm if you have animals to drop off.

DISCUSSION: Termination of an employee

a. Here is my 2-cents worth regarding the inquiry about finiquitos:
There are many factors to consider regarding a finiquito:

Is the worker a legal employee?
Do you have a written contract with this employee?
Is the employee registered with Seguro Social?
Have you been paying all the required taxes associated with employees? (AFORE, INFONAVIT, etc)
Does the employee qualify for vacation pay or Christmas aguinaldo?
OR:
Have you hired someone to do a specific task around your house? Not a technical employee, but a gardener or domestic helper perhaps?
Do you receive a fiscal invoice for the services rendered?
Do you pay them in cash or with check (either personal or from a company)? (unsigned)
ALSO:
Have you asked the employee or worker to leave (fired them) or have they left voluntarily (quit)? This makes a BIG difference in calculating the amount due to the employee.
ould highly recommend anyone to check with a certified accountant regarding Mexican labor laws. They are very complicated and new fiscal reforms are initiated at the beginning of every calendar year.

a. For a day of pure fun and enjoyment a day on the TOO AWESOME is hard to beat……13 of us had the best day of boating, snorkeling, swimming seeing whales, rays and dolphins and touring the grounds of the Gran Sueno and then lunch. Out at 8;30 and home by 3;00 it is about an $80.00 day per person such a bargain for such beauty and a day on the beautiful Sea of Cortez
