the 29th, somewhere between Loco
Rico's and Spa, I believe it
fell off the quad while driving
home. I lost my Green and brown
camouflage Roots messenger bag
and inside my bag was my Nikon
Camera D40 SLR, purple Ipod,
Coach sunglasses, green American
Eagle shorts, black fleece,
green Old Navy bikini and my
black MEC fanny sac with my red
wallet with all my money, my id,

Beware Overcharging by Propane
Delivery Truck:
Jan 4, I had our 500 L propane
tank filled by the Global truck
(with the large propane tank).
The driver presented me with a
handwritten bill instead of the
normal printed one. I paid the
bill (wondering about the
amount) and later realized that
the number of liters they
claimed to have given us was way
too large. I called the Global
office in La Paz. They were
responsive to me and called the
driver of the delivery truck,
who returned to our house,
recalculated the bill and
returned 300 pesos to us. I
believe that we were overcharged
more than 300. Obviously, the
handwritten bill was
significantly inflated. The
driver wanted the handwritten
bill returned, but we did not
give it to him. Now I realize
that I should have demanded a
printed bill. Beware --

k. Beginner windsurfer needs
help. I began giving two of our
young intern doctors windsurfing
lessons and I can continue with
the local one in LaVentana but
the one in La Ribera is too far
away. This young man would like
to see if there anyone in the
area that he can get assistance
from that can provide beginner
gear and guidance. He has a
wetsuit. His English is very
good and was able to act on all
instructions. He has 2 hours off
each afternoon (as long as no
emergencies) and he has a car to
