Minor emergency...Nikiala, my 13 year old was flying a kite with her
daddy, this afternoon when her IPOD-touch fell out of her pocket and
was lost on the beach!! Well you can imagine, having this happen on
the first day of a trip of several weeks. I, having thought of
throwing the thing into the sea, myself, said that it is a blessing
in disguise. But, she doesn't exactly see it from my point of view.
If you happen to find it, please call or write. They were between
the Mar y Sol condos and Rancho Buena Vista and she thinks she
probably lost it about 3/4 the way to Rancho from the condo.

Last minute info for MARDI GRAS! - TODAY!!
There is a little confusion about the lining up for the parade....of
course there will be MEGA confusion while we do it! Everyone will
line up starting at the hardware store AND GOING BACK ON THE DIRT
ROAD PARALLELING THE HIGHWAY. Who knows how far back we will be cuz
no one knows how many people will be in the parade! What a riot!!
BUT WAIT....THERE'S MORE: once you get to Tio's and if you don't
need to go back to the hardware store to get your car, just find any
old place to park, buy your drink tickets and get ready to party.
BUT WAIT....THERE'S MORE: This has turned into an incredible
community fun event!
GOOD LUCK on the quad raffle, ENJOY your dinner and KICK UP YOUR
HEELS in the parade! But mostly, thank all the Rotarians for their
hard work organizing this event. In addition, give a special thanks
to non-Rotrians John and Luann, Kathy and John and Hank.
The best way to thank a Rotarian is to BECOME a Rotarian....we need
you to help Rotary help the community in all of our projects.

COCHLEAR IMPLANT NEEDED.. An small boy from our community is in need
of a cochlear implant. His mother (Adela from AmeriMed) has worked
very hard to get in touch with Associations all over Mexico
searching for somebody willing to perform the surgery and she found
"Ama Oir", they will help with the costs for the surgery but the
implant itself is very expensive, $20,750 Dlls. and her and her
family are trying to raise the money right now with garage sales..
If you want to help and make a donation please contact Adela at
AmeriMed Clinic or PayDennis with Dennis Riley, you will get a
receipt for your donation from the "East Cape Community

NEWS FROM LA PAZ
Pawsitive Match in Calgary has a number of our dog crates and we
need to get them back to transport dogs up to Canada. If anyone is
willing to bring them down from Calgary to either Los Cabos or La
Paz airport, we will be there to meet the plane. If there are any
costs incurred we will gladly reimburse you. We have homes and
transporters and now desperately need crates to get the dogs to
their new homes. If you are flying into Cabo we can give you a ride
