One of the dogs that A.L.M.A. Humanitaria A.C. has had in foster care has been adopted and will have a wonderful home in Toronto, Canada. All that is needed now is for some one to be willing to allow Thelma to fly with them either to Vancouver, BC or to Toronto.
This dog has all her shots, has been spayed and will have her health record and health certificate with her. She has a large comfortable crate to travel in. All she needs is YOU
to be willing to fly with her. She needs to travel on West Jet where she will be met by another volunteer at the airport upon arrival in Vancouver. UPS Office Now In La Paz (courtesy La Paz Gringos) - UPS has set up shop in La Paz and is open for business. They are located on the northeast corner of the intersection of Forjadores and Isabel la Catolica, catty-corner to the school in a small white strip-mall office complex. (This is about 100 feet after you turn left onto Isabel la Catolica from 5 de Febrero.) I UPSed a letter to Bathurst, NB Canada. It cost $351 pesos. This will arrive on Tuesday because of the lateness of the day. Had I brought it in before 1:30 PM (for both international and national) I would have gained a day. There is no published price list per se. The young man looked up the price to Canada and then New Brunswick which is on the East Coast of Canada. Here is the phone number he gave me for publication to all of you. 612-128-6824. This is a land line. International to USA is 3-7 days. Three days to Texas and 7 days to CA, OR and WA on the west coast and 7 days on the Northern East Coast. You can pick a post card detailing the scheduled service. Don't forget that 1:30 PM is a critical hour for speedier delivery. Hope this helps. - Luiza

We brought down a working XM radio that docs in a unitl for home use.....also brought what we knew was a working antenna....at least in the US....Does anyone know if it takes a special antenna for reception here in Buena Vista as we have tried every position and have no signal.......Thanks. RE: Leigh-Anne's question about the port number needed to send Email through Telmex

a. Due to exploitation by spammers, Telmex has blocked outgoing mail normally sent through port 25. You will need to configure your Email program (Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird, etc.) to use port 587 instead. If you need help with the configuration, see instructions below for Outlook. Your Email program may have these settings in a different location or with different wording. Replace the example data with your actual settings for your Internet service provider's POP3 and SMTP servers:

In Outlook, go to:

Tools > E mail Accounts > Add a new Email account > POP3:

User Name/ Email address: yourname or yourname@yourisp.com (different ISPs use one or the other)
Password: yourpassword

Incoming Mail (POP3): pop.yourisp.com
Outgoing Mail (SMTP): smtp.yourisp.com - Port 587

Go To: > More Settings: > And check the box My Outgoing Server requires authentication.

b. I had the same problem with Telmex outgoing mail. I now use 465 and it works GOOD.

c. As far as I know you can't send out thru Outlook on your Canadian provider port from Mexico.
(Telus is my provider)
open a gmail a/c and the then add the a/c to your Outlook:
