The Baja Ha Ha Golf Tournament AND Mesquite BBQ featuring Moose
meat, Beef and Pork returns to Los Barriles Saturday, March 13th.
Come for the BBQ or Golf and BBQ.
Ask about our Special Drink of the Day.
Golf starts at 1pm on the 2nd arroyo north of Los Barriles with
hotdogs on sale at 12:00.
This is a spectator event so come on out to watch or to play. Ride
your Quads or walk the course. The popular Drinks cart will be
making its rounds, of course.
MESQUITE BBQ at Casa Harper in Esmeralda- opens for drinks at 3:30 -
BBQ is served 5-6pm and food is plentiful.
This will be Tournament Number 12 for the twice a year fund-raiser
of the East Cape Guild. The arroyo golf event was first held in 2004
and has raised more than $18,000 in donations since it began. These
donations are added to the donations from other East Cape Guild
events and Donors. The East Cape Guild has now helped more than 600
local East Cape students with scholarships to continue their
education.
Tickets are $25 US or 325 pesos for this combination event.

Discussion - Road Grating in North Los Barriles
a. Arroyo grading: Thanks to all who responded and are willing to
contribute to the grading of the 2 arroyos. We have "commitments for
about 2/3 of the cost so far. Someone emailed and was concerned
about "the legality" of us taking on the job of grading the roads
(since they are government property). I have spoken to the mayor and
he assured that what we are attempting to do is OK and said anyone
concerned can call him directly to verify he is OK with it. I also
listed my Baja mobile number incorrectly in the initial posting and

b. hola, i am coming to los barriles and will be bringing in quite a
few newer items and am curious how others have handled this
situation.
i am bringing in 6 new quad tires, window air conditioner,
generator, and various other supplies and will have an itemized list
as well as all the receipts.
1.)what border crossing is recommended, i would like to cross at
tecate.
2.)would i need to use a broker.
3.)what are the import fees. i have heard from 23 - 30 % of value
any advice will be greatly appreciated
