WOW!!!! CARNAVAL IS COMING TO LOS BARRILES!!!!!
That's right...Mardi Gras will be celebrated in Los Barriles on
Friday, Feb. 12th so that you can still go to LaPaz for their
Carnaval Saturday through Tuesday.
BUT WAIT...THERE'S MORE: The Rotary Club is raffling off a
NEW KAWASAKI 250CC QUAD!!!! Limited number (total of only 300 will
be sold) are still available for purchase. The price is $25 ( 350
pesos) for one or 5 tickets for $100 (1400 pesos). We have about 75
raffle tickets left so If you want to buy one or more, please call
Marilyn at 142-8008.
BUT WAIT...THERE'S MORE: At 4:00PM on Friday, the 12th there
will be a parade for EVERYONE!! Decorated quads, school kids, teams,
horse riders, and anyone else who wants to take part in the parade.
Over 600 bead necklaces and even more candy will be tossed to the
people lining the streets....and you thought this only happened in
New Orleans!!!! Prizes will be awarded in several catagories. The
parade will start at the Fountain and end at the Concha.
BUT WAIT...THERE'S MORE: Once you get to the Concha, there
will be a bar set up and at 6:00PM there will be a dinner.
Information on where Dinner tickets will be sold will be announced
shortly. DRAWING FOR THE QUAD WILL BE AT 8:00pm.

fundraiser, goes to support our many community projects. Join us for
this fun event!!!

Transportation: We recently purchased a home in the Los Barriles
area and plan on coming down 3-4 times a year.
We have been doing the rental car thing so far, but that is getting
expensive, can anyone share with us their experiences such as
Buying a used car? Or are Quads the way to go? And just get
transport to and from the airport? We have not yet proceeded with
any FM 2 or 3 . So as Canadians are we allowed to drive Mexican or
