Baja Ben Update...... For those of you that
know Baja Ben & Lorri, here's an update. They found a tumor in my
dad's colon. Removed 12" and biopsied lymph nodes. Nothing showing
on the scan or biopsies, so that was great news. On day 4 after his
surgery, he began having problems at the surgery site and he became
septic. Emergency surgery was required at 10:30pm and he's been in
intensive care ever since. (He's been in the hospital since January
7th). They have been removing multiple IV's and other various tubes
and catheters over the past few days. He's eating now and
complaining about the meatloaf being overcooked. (I told him the
menu said "grandma's meatloaf" and that maybe it was passed down a
generation or two).
The good news is that they are releasing
him tomorrow to go home. He's still got a ways to go as far as
recovery, but the change over the last week has been great!
If you would like to send a message, please
do it via email to:
pacsungro@earthlink.net
(please put "Baja Ben" in the subject line)
and I will print them out for him. This has been exhausting for my
mom, so emails would be better than phone calls for now.
I'm sure Baja Ben and Lorri will be back in the Spring.
Adios, Ben (junior)

Happy needs a home! Happy was a very unhappy dog who had been dumped
outside of Catavina. After wandering for days he was picked up by a
very kind lady who brought him home with her to recover from
starvation, dehydration and a serious wound. After months of TLC
Happy is now available for adoption.
Happy is approximately 2 years old. He
represents the best (?) of several breeds, part beagle, rottie and
German Sheppard. Definitely a great representative of a Baja dog.
Happy has been neutered, has his shots and is now very healthy and
did I mention happy?
Now all he needs is his forever home. He
will be a very grateful, loyal and loving companion.
If you are interested please contact Linda at
