BLOOD NEEDED........EMERGENCY!

The patient who needs the blood is: Lisa O'Hara - she is in intensive care at the Amerimed hospital in Cabo San Lucas. She is listed as critical and we are asking for any donations of O negative blood as soon as possible. Dr. Alfonso Najar is in charge of her case. Information is as follows:

ROAD REPORT

a. Received Thursday, 1-28 5:30pm. Thursday, January 28th: bridges are repaired except for the one between Chula Vista and Colonia Vincente Guerrero where the road now is over the river bed--very acceptable until the bridge can be repaired. I had no problems at all.

b. Received Thursday, 1018 at 10pm: Hi there! We arrived in Santa Rosalia in a Ford F250 with trailer in tow on Thurs eve...made it without incident or major delay from Borrego Springs, CA to Santa Rosalia in two days....bridge repair and/or detours are well monitored and managed by federal and local officials. All vehicles seemed to have minimal problems negotiating the challenges. We observed amazing reconstruction efforts by all! Laura & John Benward

Hello Sierra Fisherman!
Hotel Buenavista Beach Resort invites you to our second Charity Sunrise Sierra Tournament. Same as last year this is a charity tournament, and all the fish captured during the tournament will be donated to the Santiago Internship/Orphanage. The entry fee of the tournament will be $30 USD and 50% of the buy in will be donated.
1st Place.- wins a one day fishing trip on a Super Panga or Half day on 28 foot cruiser (for 4 people).
The tournament will be on Sunday February 14th from 6:15 am to 8am.
Sign up will start on Monday Feb 8th until 5 minutes before the tournament begins.
Biggest Sierra of the day wins.
And for all the participants, I will also offer a 20% Discount for our Valentine Day Brunch that is going to be amazing, this will apply also for three more persons who comes with you. Brunch starts at 9am until 2pm.

Clean up Los Barriles Monday, February 15th, 9am to 12pm
In honor of VALENTINE'S DAY, let's show our LOVE for our community and environment.
VOS en Construcción will sponsor 15 staff members and construction workers to pick up litter from 9-12.
Local school children will be invited to participate as well.
UVERDE will haul away all the collected litter.
I would like to invite fellow community members and business owners to sponsor a local worker or two.
Any amount of time counts. Every bag of litter counts. Every little bit helps!
Our community is so much cleaner than it was two years ago. We are on the road to improvement!
