Hi, there seems to be confusion as to exchanging dollars to pesos. I
went to the Bancomer in Los Barriles about 2 weeks ago. They said I
needed my US passport and a Visa (2 IDs) and there was a $300
maximum per day. I only had my US passport so they sent me away. The
money exchange (Thrifty) was wonderful. They exchange dollars for
pesos with no identification and Travelers Checks with only your US
Passport. At the time I exchanged $500 dollars and $500 in Travelers
Checks with no problem. Not only that, but the rate was 11.70 vs
11.45 at Bancomer. Carlene K.

Hi again...do you suppose Dr Hernandez or perhaps somebody at
Bancomer could get you the info that US banks will need to wire
money to Hania's account (i.e., physical address, routing #, and
Hania's account #)? I wasn't very clear when I asked you to post my
earlier email about this...sorry.

Re: Cuidad Constitucion In my years of coming to Mexico, the agency
that has been very helpful and gets results is the Mexican Tourism
Office. I attempted to contact them but could not find the number.
If anyone has the "help" number for highway 1, north and south, it
would be very helpful to have during a "stop".

HANDY HINTS
a. Put the lint trap for your dryer on the top shelf of your
dishwasher to get the dryer sheet residue off. It works really well!
And may well save the longevity of your dryer.
b. STORM STRENGTH. Here in hurricane country, it is recommended that
you stick all your important papers into freezer bags and put them
in the dishwasher when a storm is approaching. The home appliance is
heavy, attached to the house and waterproof,
which makes it easy to find after a storm.
c. HONEY HOPE: If your jar of honey has crystallized, make sure the
lid is screwed on tightly. Then, run it through a normal dishwasher
cycle, and it will easily return the honey to its normal state. It
is so much easier than soaking it in hot water, which never worked
for me
