I was wondering if you could post this ASAP. (received today @10:15am)
Yesterday I was walking on the beach just south of 9 Palms when I was attacked by a group of dogs one of which bit me on the leg requiring a trip to Amerimed here in Los Barriles. They belong to a elderly gringo who has a house on the beach just north of Distiladias(?). I talked to him but was so mad I forgot to ask if his dogs had shots. Does any one out there know his name or how to contact him?

I need to know if his dogs have had their rabies shots. Please call 1428137 or email greg@mountainmoments.com . This is not the first time I have had a run in with his dogs but it is the first time I have been bitten.
(I had no clue where 9 palms so here is Greg's answer. Cheryl)

9 palms is on the East Cape near Vinorama, it is a well known surfing spot.
Distiladaras in just a bit further south where a bunch of gringos have
houses. I was hoping someone from down that way might have some info to save
me driving back down. Altho there is no phone service a lot of people have
satellite email.
Cheers
Greg

STAMPING IN AND OUT

a. Re: Immigration at the airport.
For anyone with an FM2 or FM3. The old pink 2 page carbonless forms are no longer being used (even if you still have the old style books.) There is a new one page, two part form that I was given when I checked in at Alaska. Still the same drill being "escorted" to immigration to get the new form stamped. One part goes to the airline, the other stays in your book for reentry.
Martha

b. Regarding FM3 I just renewed and was told by Notary that I needed to have stamped on my drive out exit from Mexico, that this would be done at Guerrero Negro. So....we stopped at that Immigracion office, and were told they no longer do date stamping, that it is now done in Tijuana but they could not tell us where this was done. Subsequently was told by “Discover Baja” travel club that probably we need to pass through normal gates then circle around and have stamped at entry office then, circle around again and exit to U.S. Seems like an imperfect system. Any thoughts from anyone?
Leith & Bruce

c. How do the new FM3 changes apply to those of us entering and departing Mexico via driving? CL

To Everyone In ponyland, Re: Computer Hacker, please be advised that all emails from bruce-downs@hotmail.com are coming from the Hacker who hacked into my email last week on Sunday, changed my password on Monday and locked me out and subsequently is sending out emails to all as a scam. I am unable to access this email account I had for over 10 years, and the hacker is sending an email to everyone in my email data base. I have contacted who I could think of, my family members and my bank, my accountant, and some others, but was unable to contact everyone to let them know that this is happening. MSN is very slow to do anything about this internally to close out this email account. Please forward the emails to abuse@hotmail.com  and copy daviddowns1992@hotmail.com,  so that we can keep some sort of record of whom the hacker is sending emails to, and move forward with MSN to close out my primary email address which WAS bruce-downs@hotmail.com and squash this hacker. Thank you for your help. Roberta and Bruce

THUMBS UP!

This evening, June 4, Friday, a new take out grilled chicken restaurant opened in Buena Vista. Heading south it is on the right hand side, on the hill before Telmex, Dr. Ramirez, and the BV delegation. It is called Memo's Pollos and has wonderful grilled chicken with home made french fries, tortillas and great salsa. They also have salads, stuffed potatoes and charro beans with sausage. They are open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Of course Jimmy and I did quality control testing and the food is delicious. Give it a try. Chris and Jimmy White
