ALMA would to thank all who attended the fashion show last month at Solomon's Landing.
Also, thanks to our beautiful local models who dazzled us with fashions from Pepita's Magic of the Moon in Cabo, Letty of Casa Vieja in San Jose and jewelry by Copper River Design of Los Barriles. Special thanks to the ALMA volunteers who helped make the day so enjoyable. Shall we do it again next year, ladies?

The money raised will provide spay/neuter, vaccines and veterinary treatment for local animals.

a. I went into the French bakery in San Jose this week-end and was so impressed by the quality and the variety of the cakes they offer! I highly recommend their croissants and pains au chocolat. My son ate an "eclair au chocolat" and he loved it - he is French and knows about these things... I personally tried the "flan", my favorite cake in any French patisserie and I must say it was superb. I've lived in France most of my life and this San Jose cake shop is as good as anything you would find in Paris.

d. I am trying to help a friend sell her tent. It's been used maybe 3 times and is in excellent condition. It is approximately 4.88 meters x 4.88 meters. It has a couple extra features....there is a small enclosed entry, two small areas that jut out the back of the tent for storing stuff rather than using up your living space and the top is netting so you can look at the stars at night and have lots of fresh air.
We are asking 3500coconuts...have found a brand new tent 1/2 the size without the extra features for 4000 so we feel this price is reasonable.
