This will be Tournament Number LUCKY 13 for the EAST CAPE
GUILD EVENT.

a. Hey all, we'll be spending a few months in Los Barriles
and are looking for good cheap mobile phone service that
will keep us in touch with the U.S. Can you tell us what
phones, U.S. service or Mexican service, work the most
reliably and cost the least? I've heard some good things
about Mexitel, I know some people use Go PHones. What do you
think?
Also, we have ATT service on our iPhones. Do you know
whether they really get any service down there if we extend
our coverage? Or along the Baja driving route from
California? We may just opt to use them for our needs but
only if they really work down there both on the way and once
we're in Los Barriles. Any advice would be most welcome!

b. We have gotten a "Travel letter" from our vet down here
($30-40) for several years to fly our dog back to the states
(dated within 3 days of departure), now we are being told
that this is not necessary?, only southbound into Los
Cabos......looking for clarification.......thanks.

I can use until December 1? While I only a very short (6")
cable, I'd be happy with any length. I use it to connect
audio signal from my computer headphone jack to a sound

d. Boat: 23' Mako, center consol, 6 cyl. Perkins diesel on
trailer. Boat has just been fully serviced and runs good.
Had both (aluminum) fuel tanks fiberglassed with new
sensors. Comes with outriggers, bait bag, VHF radio,
complete mooring set up and ground tackle, extra parts, some
tools and has a fresh coat of bottom paint. This is a heavy
laid up fiberglass hull, great for Baja. First 7,000
