another great season at North Beach. We are in the
pre-construction phase and need all the Palm leaves we can

RECYCLING IN LOS BARRILES
It's wonderful that our community has such a great
commitment to recycling - thanks for being a part of it and
for your commitment to our planet earth. Here at the East
Cape RV Resort we are pleased to be participating in the
recycling effort; our own 'case study' proved that our RV
Resort guests and permanentes cut down the trash going to
the landfill by almost 1/2 through their recycling efforts.
That's an incredible amount of glass, plastics, paper,
aluminum that is being recycled and staying away from our 'basurera'!
Collecting and processing recyclables from the East Cape
community happens on the first Thursday of the month, and
they should be delivered between 9 am and 11 am. Until the
first Thursday of the month, East Cape residents should keep
their recyclables at their homes. We look forward to seeing
you on our next recycle day, Thursday, December 2. If you
have a few minutes, even an hour on that day to help
separate and prepare recyclables as they are loaded onto the
truck, please bring some gloves and join the fun! If you
have any more questions or comments, any ideas you have or
ways to make our process even better, please drop us an

FULL MOON RISING THANK YOU
a. Amigos...All of us in the Asociacion de Artes are very
pleased that the Full Moon Rising Music Festival was a "hit"
with so many of our friends and neighbors in East Cape! We
never could have pulled it off without the dedicated
volunteers that stuck it out to the end....A special
"gracias" to: Sue and Ric. Linda, Deanna, Janice, and
Bonnie. Members of the Asociacion de Artes Board helped as
well....Russ (signs), Brian (schleping and helping with
parking), Kathy (watching over the beach gate), and JA (schmosing)
But most energetic of all was WALTER who conceived, planned,
and made the whole event come together! There's only one
thing left to say...."WHAT A TEAM!" JoANN

such a fantastic event.....LIVE MUSIC festival right here in
the EAST CAPE.

a. Has anyone recently traveled through Tecate and taken the

less traveled, Hwy 3 to toll road 2D heading west to TJ. We
understand Hwy 3 is still under construction. We plan to
cross the
border Dec. 1, 3 large motorhomes coming to Los Barriles.

alternate would be crossing at TJ, and traveling south. All

e. Hey, folks! In a couple of weeks we will be venturing
south for a longish visit on the East Cape, and we have a
question about customs. We are bringing everything we need
to work - and that means a lot of computer, camera, and
video stuff. Nothing elaborate, but more than a single

customs? Are they going to want to charge us for "extra"
