CORRECTION ABOUT FOUND FIDO!
Talk about a brain fade....The dog we found is mostly white
Labrador. I don't even know what a Doberman looks like. Maybe I
don't want anyone to claim this smart, sweet dog. Thanks, Maryolive

EARTHQUAKE REPORTS
a. My wife and I were having lunch at Carmen's new restaurant and we
felt the earthquake. The fella sitting at the next table didn't feel
anything. It was very light and lasted maybe 10 seconds. Our son
called from the States last night and said he saw on internet news
that it was 6.9 and located 85 miles north of
La Paz.
b. I was a geology major and even though that was a long time ago, I
know that even big earthquakes (this one was at 6.7) are normally
felt a long way away. But not always. Below is a link of just
exactly where the epicenter was. So, your phone calls were justified
based on the data available. It was big and it was close.
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=24.8427,-109.1712%28M6.7+-+Gulf+of+California+-+2010+October+21+17:53:14+UTC%29&t=h&z=6&iwloc=A
(remember when there is a long link that takes two lines, never
leave any spaces when you copy it. Cheryl)
c. I have experienced 3 earthquakes in the past. I was lying in bed
in my RV at Playa Norte and I felt my rig moving and saw items hung
on hooks move back and forth. I remember thinking "this feels like
an earthquake". I hadn't heard anything about earthquakes until I
read the posting in BPE. It was mild compared to the other three.
