INSURANCE DECISIONS, WE ARE BEGINNING A SERIES OF
HEALTH RELATED SEMINARS
Questions that we are continually asked are “What do I
do if a health crisis occurs? How
is critical care handled here in the East Cape? Who do I
trust with my routine health care?
Where is the best medical facility for my income level and
my insurance?”
As part of our continuing educational series, our guest
speaker this month will be
Dr. Rafael Moguel, a noted cardiologist and Director of
Clinics of the Heart. Dr. Moguel
will speak on cardiology care and a new, breakthrough
treatment of Multiple Sclerosis.
Additionally, Rudy Deutschmann, a representative of
American Insurance in Mexico,
will be available to answer your questions and address your
needs concerning insurance
in Mexico and costs for emergency care coverage.
To learn more about cardiac emergencies and what steps
to take if an event occurs we

and I with the sale of our home in Lynnwood, Wa. while we
were in Los Barriles last month. Without their generosity in
letting us use scan/fax/telephone and the use of their
offices and time, we might not have sold our home! As it is
we did, and we are looking forward to spending lots more
time in LB with our wonderful friends! These two Ladies have
been there for us since the beginning, 11 years ago when we
started our adventure in Baja and their un wavering kindness
and happy hearts are a treasure to us! Thanks from the

b. Dear Friends of East Cape,
I’ve been recently diagnosed with breast cancer and needless
to say, my dream life in Baja is coming to an abrupt halt!
Temporarily! My “better half” and I live in East Cape full
time (La Capilla/Buenavista) and we are suddenly faced with
making some major changes regarding our pets. I am in Baja
now to fly my dog home with me on Tuesday, April 19th, but
need help transporting my beloved rabbit. He’s been my
trusting companion for 8 years and he is originally a US
bunny.
I am looking for someone who is driving north in the near
future who would be willing to drive my rabbit to Ensenada
or through the border. The rabbit would travel in a cage
with everything he needs, he is docile and sweet and very
low-key and has all of his necessary health papers.
My treatment is expected to be 7 months minimum and I am not
sure my bunny will get the attention and care he is used to
getting from me if he is left in Baja.
