LIQUID and ELECTRONICS!
Eventually it may happen to you, water on electronics. The
first step is to remove all electricity immediately. For a
laptop, remove the power cord and the battery. Turn the
keyboard upside down asap. I would use a gentle amount of
air across the keyboard - highly compressed air may force it
deeper into the circuitry. Let it dry for several days
before re-applying power. According to the Techs, this
will solve most of the issues. Desktop keyboards are
somewhat easier when wet. Disconnect it immediately, take
it out side and hang it upside down on the cloths line. One
high end tech actually runs his desktop keyboards through
the dish washer (minus the heat drying cycle) and hangs them
on the line for 3 days. (The average office computer
keyboard has over 3000 bacteria.)
Cell phones are all too frequently dropped into water.
Fish it out, remove the battery (better figure that out
before the emergency starts). Let it dry for several days
as well. There are strips on the battery that will change
color if the phone is immersed in water. Those are placed
there by the manufacturer to keep us honest. By the way, if
your smart phone locks up or begins to work erratically,
remove the battery for a minute and re-install. That works
as a "hard reboot".
Last Tuesday Microsoft release a dozen security
updates. Look in the lower right hand side of your screen
to see if they are ready for install.
Take another look at your photo's and documents, you
hard drive could die today. Did you backup???

Lyrids Meteor Shower April 21, 22, 2011 - Lyrids Meteor
Shower. The Lyrids are an average shower, usually producing
about 20 meteors per hour at their peak. These meteors can
produce bright dust trails that last for several seconds.
The shower usually peaks on April 21 & 22, although some
meteors can be visible from April 16 - 25. Look for meteors
radiating from the constellation of Lyra after midnight.
