Hola Amigos: We've just discovered an EASY way to cut
through the bureaucracy of the Inmigracion Office in La Paz!
We had to get Russ' FM3 document renewed and my FM2
canceled. I needed other legal documents developed and
stamped including a Power of Attorney to get my VW hauled
from La Paz to Tijuana. Here is the information: Go to the
Marina de La Paz on Topete and Legaspy and look for an
office named: "Eco Naviera". Lic. Salvador E. Ramirez
Cosio is a former employee of Migracion and has set up his
own business which will handle ALL the papers needed thus
saving you all the back and forth trips only to discover
what you want is "not ready"! Salvador also speaks English!

a. This is via La Ribera via BajaNomad: TJ BORDER
CORSSING CHANGES
Crossed northbound yesterday at San Ysidro - for folks that
don't know the route through TJ has completely changed.
There is no more loop that brings you along the border
fences, but rather you go straight through El Centro
commercial district, by the cemetery (now 4 lanes
northbound, but the old yellow double-center lines are still
there, which will bring you to the old poorly-marked split
where you have to decide quickly to get in one of two center
lanes to begin the long crawl to the border gate, or
otherwise drive around TJ again with a racing heart and try
to get in the correct line again. Our wait yesterday midday
was just under two hours. And now there is major
construction beginning just on the US side of the border
crossing, and the BP agent informed us that our 2-hour wait
will soon be more like 6-7 hours. He said construction will
be completed sometime in 2013. Times they are a-changing.
