of The Birds We See in Baja will be the speaker at this Wednesday
morning’s Rotary breakfast meeting at the Palmas Hotel (Dec. 7 at 8
am). Debbie Llewellyn, the book’s contributing photographer, will
also be part of the presentation. All interested are welcome to
come. If you have purchased The Birds We See in Baja, bring your
copy for a personalized autograph!
If you are up early on Friday mornings, try
Brigitte’s Sunrise Yoga class at 7am. I went this morning and it was
really lovely...and I got to see the sunrise too! She teaches every
Friday at 7am at the Sukhasana Yoga Studio.
Hello everyone there will be a large yard sale in
spa Saturday the 3rd from 10:00am till 1:00pm just follow the signs
posted from the entrance a. I am recommending Ron, with Bajascreens@yahoo.com . I emailed him for an estimate, and three days later, we have a beautiful screen door that matches our front door. He is totally professional and polite, as are his workers, and they build and repair window screens as well. Molly Banb.

Jimmy and I went to Sally-Sara's gallery today and I was amazed at
everything she has. Not just art, but some wonderful t-shirts and
cute shoes. Great things for gifts, such as beautiful note cards
painted by Antonio Viveros and other artists. She is right next to

A large vulture-like raptor, with long yellow legs that often walks on the ground in search of large insects, lizards and rodents. Will also eat carrion. A distinctive looking bird about 2 foot long, with a black crown and crest, white on sides of head and chin, throat and breast is a fine pattern of black and white. Bare skin in the face is a gray to red color and can be changed at will. The bill is white and heavy. Eyes are light gray-yellow color. When flying it's 4 foot wings are held flat, with 5 or 6 steady strong wing beats followed by a 8 to 10 second glide. In flight, note the white tail and the white tips of the black wings. Usually silent but sometimes makes a harsh grating rattle sound. Found in Mexico, Central America and southern Texas.
