Tuesday Dec. 13th at 10:00a.m. at the Hotel
Palmas De Cortes. Calling all volunteers and want to be volunteers
for the Lord of the Wind Showdown (Jan 12th - 16th/2012). We are
having a meeting to discuss positions and duties required as well as
give out information and answer questions. We are looking for a
couple of people with EXCEL skills. If you are interested please

Carnival Troupes Parade Celebrates Arts Festival
- To celebrate 15 years of the "Todos Santos Arts Festival," the
organizing committee is preparing, among other interesting
activities, a carnival troupes parade to be held at noon Sunday,
Feb. 5, starting from Pedrajo street (At the gateway to Los Cabos)
and ending in the public square for a 4-hours-of-fun show.
Hola Compadres! Please note that we can no longer
allow people to bring their dogs to Smokey's any longer. In the
past, our policy has been to allow dogs on the outside patio only.
However due to many factors too numerous to mention here we can no
longer welcome dogs on the premises. While we remain committed
animal lovers, we must ask that you leave your much loved dogs at
home when you visit Smokey's. The same policy shall apply to cats,
pot-bellied pigs, horses, cows, bisons, snakes, racoons, as well as
parrots and other fowl. Our failure to mention any other particular
pet or animal under one's care shall not preclude said animal's
exclusion from the premises. We apologize for any inconvenience and
thank you for your cooperation.
BOTOX PARTY date has changed !! Due to conflict
with Lord of the Wind contest, the botox party has been rescheduled

I am still (or maybe I should say always) looking
for old used greeting cards. Any kind will do - anything from
Birthday, Get Well, Sympathy, Thank You, Valentines to Christmas
cards. If you have any taking up some space somewhere PLEASE don;t
throw them out. I will recycle them into something new. It will be

My husband and I are just setting up our house in LB and we're
looking for inexpensive household items such as carpets, garbage
cans, towels, pillows, lamps, frying pans, etc. I know Chapitos has
some of these items, however, since we have so much to buy, we were
hoping to find an even cheaper place to stock up. Does anyone know
of any discount stores around? Even second hand/thrift stores? Are
there any dollar-type stores? We don't mind driving to Cabo or
elsewhere.
