Hola, Monday in La Ribera is a no zone for food on Mondays, as most
of the restaurants close on Monday. Mike Odell at La Trinidad
is now serving lunch from 11:00 to 2:00. A group of us decided to
try it out. The results were well worth it. The menu featured hot
and cold sandwiches, both Pork and Beef. The portions were large and
yummie. Each came with either green salad or potato salad. A Chef
Salad also offered. Everyone was very pleased and satiated and some
took home half of their order to a spouse due to size. They also
pulled out many salad dressings, horseradish, pickles, onions, ask
for what you want and it was presented on the table. b. LOS VIEJOS will be performing this Friday night at Otra Vez, playing your favorite blues, rock and country from the sixties and seventies. Come and join us for an entertaining evening of dining, dancing, drinking and music .The show starts at 7:30, and all of us in Los Viejos hope to see you there!

Today's bird is the Xantus' Hummingbird. If you
try and find this bird in your bird guide books you will probably
fail. The reason is that this bird is only found here in southern
Baja, which makes him an endemic. The bird is named is for the first
person to describe him. John Xantus a Hungrarian zoologogist in the
late 1800's.
