Back by popular demand....Russ Hyslop has agreed to offer
his Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain Class again!
Students who announced at previous classes that they
couldn't even draw a stick figure have been amazed when they
discovered their artistic talent AND that it was fun as
well! You probably met some of them at the recent East
Cape Artists Studio Tour. Registration for the series of
eleven classes will be held on Monday, February 28 at 10:00
am at the Club House in the Colina del Sol subdivision north
of the San Bartolo Arroyo. Classes will be held on Monday,
Wednesday and Friday from 10-11:30am through the month of
March. The cost of the class will be $600 pesos or $50.00
USD which includes the cost of materials. Proceeds from the
class will be a donation to the East Cape Asociacion de
Artes and will go to support the Art Classes for Students at
the Escuela Primaria in Los Barriles. Interested? Email

NEWS FROM TODOS SANTOS
Artists’ Studio Tour in Todos Santos is Bigger Than Ever!
Just as every artist has a style that is uniquely their own,
every artist also has a unique place to work. We use
the word “studio” to describe everything from a favorite
spot under a shade tree, an easel in the bedroom, a
sheltered space on the porch or an area set off in the house
or casita right up to a dedicated bedroom, a sheltered space

meet and talk with the artists, one on one, while they
demonstrate their techniques and materials right in the
studio. Many of these artists have never opened their
studios to visitors – until now.
Twenty-seven of Todos Santos’ finest painters, potters and
sculptors will welcome visitors from 10AM to 5PM on Sunday,
March 20, 2011. Tickets can be purchased the entire week
before the event or the day of the event for 100pesos at
Cafelix Coffee & Kitchen, Calle Benito Juarez, in Centro
Todos Santos. Each visitor will receive a detailed map of
participating studios plus information about the artists and
their work. Your tour fee also includes discounts at 18 of
Todos Santos’ favorite eating places from Taco Stands to
coffee shops to some of the best restaurants in town.
Proceeds from ticket sales will be used by the Palapa
Society to help fund their children’s art programs. Come to
Baja’s art destination, Todos Santos, the town of arts and
artists.
ARTS - Artists of Todos Santos is an informal group of
artists and art lovers with the objective to develop and
support a vibrant visual arts community and to inspire and
grow visual arts talent in Todos Santos.

has been overseeing several projects for us since we bought
our Casa last year. We could not be happier with the
