This letter serves two purposes. First, we would like
to extend a public thank you to Claudia and Fabrizio at Otra
Vez for not only for two wonderful nights so far, but also
for the next four nights as well. We will be playing at the
restaurant through Sunday Feb. 27th (special opening) and
then leaving Tuesday for home. It is a quick visit this
year, so be sure to see us and say hello before the end of
the week! If you do not get that chance to enjoy the
wonderful meals at Otra Vez and to listen to our music,
please look forward to the next opportunity.
Also, we wanted to publicly apologize to Teresa and the
people of East Cape RV Park for the "false alarm" regarding
an almost confirmed appearance for this Sunday. Because of
our past wonderful experiences performing there, we were
excited and quick to book her recent offer before actually
looking at our schedule to make sure of our availability and
then, rather embarrassingly, we had to cancel.

With disappointment we share with you that the Sunday
Fundraising Concert for Recycling at the East Cape RV Resort
is being canceled. Out of respect for their business
relationship with Otra Vez, Alex and Miguel agree with
Claudia and Fabrizio that with their short stay they should
be concentrating their efforts at the restaurant. Previously
closed on Sundays, another concert has now been added and
Otra Vez will have a container available for anyone wishing
to donate to our recycling efforts. We are grateful for
their talents and their interest in bringing such
internationally acclaimed music to our small pueblo. Alex
and Miguel may have an opportunity to return in early April.
If so, we will do our best to avoid any business conflicts
and encourage a future poolside concert to raise funds for
recycling. For the enthusiastic concert goers and supporters
of recycling who had already bought their tickets, please
know we appreciate you and have your money ready to return.

Christian retreat here in Los Barriles titled “Grow and
Bloom Where You’re Planted”. The speaker will be Dr. Linda
Clark, author and trainer in communication, relationships,
mentoring and coaching. Her subjects will be: Living a
Joyous Life; Women Behind the Mask; Pure Women in a Muddy

a. Road Report: Just finished driving LB to Tecate via MX 1
and MX 3 (ruta de vino). No significant delays from police,
military or construction. Only significant road
construction was on MX 3 along the 20 miles immediately

was telling me about a young man visiting Los Barriles, Jay
Kirkpatrick. Jay has been awarded the presidential
scholarship to the Manhattan School of Music in Harlem for
the last 4 years in a row. He plays the trumpet. Long
story short, Jay, Big Jim and a few others from the various
bands in the area have asked if they with Jay can play here
this coming Sunday, February 27.
Music/Jazz will start at 7pm.
Hotel Los Pescadores will be serving a pasta dinner.
This should be a very special evening - don't miss it.
