News about the 18th Annual Festival de Artes April 4, 2011,
in the beautiful grassy area at Palmas de Cortez. If I have

fun, fabulous new food and wearable art too!! So please

a. More on Carnaval in La Paz:
The stalls, stages and fairground rides go up along the
Malecon on Thurs March 3rd, and the whole Malecon will be
blocked to traffic for 6 days. The crowning of the Carnaval
Queen will take place at 5pm on Saturday March 5th. Live
entertainment starts late afternoon, but the bands for
dancing in the street don't usually get going until around
9pm.
The parades this year will be held on Sunday 6th, Monday 7th
and Tuesday 8th, starting at 5pm and lasting about an hour.
Each day they reverse direction. On the 6th and 8th, they
start at Marquez de Leon and go along the Malecon to El
Molinito. On the Monday, it starts at El Molinito and goes
the other way. The affects the time at which the parade will
