Just a note & update from Cindy @ East Cape Tackle
I have heard such horror stories of a wallet being stolen or
lost and thought what would I ever do if it happen to me....
Unfortunately I have not had my wallet returned as of yet ,
I do want to Thank everyone ( to many to
mention) who have called and who offered their help...I am
still offering a reward if it is found and returned...
We have the best town very caring & loving people, again
from the bottom of my heart Thank you to you all !

PC Software updates: I'm starting to notice a significant
number of computers that have not installed the required
Windows software updates. These security updates are posted
by the second Wednesday of each month or earlier in the case
of a zero day security threat. Your computer should default
to run the auto-update but will not auto install in most
cases. If you are using Windows XP, look for a yellow
shield in the Task Bar. That would be in the lower right
hand side of the computer screen. Click on the yellow
shield and follow the instructions. For Windows Vista and
Windows 7, look for a small Icon that looks like a Software
Box (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Update).
Click on that Icon and follow similar instructions. You
may have to click on the triangle in the lower right part of
the screen to see that Icon. These security updates patch
holes in the software that expose you to Spyware and
Viruses. I cannot emphasize enough how important these
updates are to your computers.
Mac updates: Software updates are available by clicking the
"System Preferences" in the dock. Look for the "Software
Update" icon in the bottom row. As Macs become more
widespread, there will be an increase in the level of
concern for spyware. As of this date, there are no Mac
viruses in the wild.
Take a moment to review your photos and documents in your
computer. If you don't have a back-up system for your
computer, this may be the last time you see them. I have
replaced one of my hard drives already this winter. Back-up
your photo's and documents once a week!!! Do not carry your
backup external hard drive in your computer case when you
travel. If you computer is stolen, there goes your
backup!!!
