Premier of Community Theatre in Todos Santos!

We know Todos Santos is a theater town because of its historical Teatro Marques de Leon on the plaza.  And now, there is Luna Azul, a classically designed, outdoor stage in Las Tunas built by Raul Cavazos and Isabel Smyth of Blue Moon Productions.

Their premier, community production is The Wizard of Oz with a Todos Twist.   Dorothy is now in her 60’s, living on the beach in Todos Santos in an RV and is blown to Oz by a hurricane.  The play features some of your local stage favorites; Roxanne Rosenblatt (Steel Magnolias, Nunsense and Baja Shakespeare); Sharon Morris (Mother Superior in Nunsense); Vic Kirby (Crimes of the Heart); and Isabel Smyth (Blue Moon Theatre Producer, Director, Actor); plus, over 40 folks from the art community are contributing their talents, too.

Order your tickets and arrange for your overnight now.  The Wizard of Oz with a Todos Twist opens 3 weekends of performances at the Luna Azul stage (go to http://tsbmp.blogspot.com/ for a peek) on Feb. 4th at 7:30 p.m. and runs the 5th, 11th, 12th 18th and 19th.  Tickets are $15.00 US or 150 pesos. To make out of town Oz reservations (Will Call) contact vandhbutler@gmail.com.  Production coincides with The Todos Santos Arts Festival

Serendipity Bed & Breakfast, located less than 3 blocks from the performance space, is offering a Theatre Special;  $150.00 US for 2, includes tickets, overnight, taxes and breakfast the next morning.  If you pay in cash pesos, price is 1,500. Contact Sharon Morris through her website, www.serendipityventures.com Hotel California is also offering a 25% discount if you mention that you’re seeing the show.

Come one and all; enjoy Theater under the Stars and spend the night in beautiful Pueblo Magico.
