Police
Substation is Under Construction
|
The North Police Substation is now
under construction at the Y where the dirt road and
the paved road meet just north of the North Arroyo.
This project is a joint venture with the Mayor of La
Paz dedicating the land, the community building the
structure and the Police guaranteeing it manned.
Special thanks goes our to the Mayor of La Paz, the
community for raising the funds and some local companies
for donating their products and labor. Singled out are
Tony Tamayo of our local hardware store for giving all
materials at cost, Jose Luis for donating sand, gravel
and block, and Bahia Construction for agreeing to build
the station at cost.
While we have raised over 3/4 of the money needed for
completion we still need some additional funds. Those
of you wishing to donate should stop by or call Dennis
Reily to make a pledge.
This project will benefit all of the residents north of
the first arroyo in that we will have a constant police
presence in our neighborhood, creating a community
based Policing force.

STAR WATCHING IN

are meeting at the parking lot in Mega by Mcdonalds and then
caravan together to a place one kilometer away from buzzards
towards the east cape spend about two hours combining
stargazing with a full explanation and sax music as a
background, we will teach attendees how to use a telescope
and talk about cosmology and astronomy, we ask to bring
jackets and blankest because it may be cold and also
something to eat and to drinks because we are miles away
from stores and there's is no services in the premises, the
reason why we go there is because is very dark and thus we
have more things to see and to talk about.
it is very inexpensive considering that the sax player is
excellente!!!!

attending our presentation!!!
