Palmas Valentines Day Update: We
will be having a classic car /
off road display out in front on
the lobby. Any one wishing to
display their car / truck /
small Jeep can arrive after 1 pm
and park. . Palmas has invited
those to use the Pool and Hot
tub for the afternoon. You will
need to show your dinner ticket.
There will be no judging.
Candle light dinner with
soft romantic music will be
served in Tico’s waterfront
restaurant at 6:30 pm; Dancing
will start at 7:30 to 9 pm.
Dance contest will start at 9pm
with registration starting at
7:30. Those not wishing to
dance, there will be 2 free pool
tables, and hot tub and swimming
pool at your disposal.
Tickets for the dinner are $15
and are for sale at Palmas front
desk, Roadrunner Café, and by me

work. I do all the refurbishing
at my shop in Tahoe and bring

have been on display all winter.

to the schools and the clinic

a. Letter to the Pueblo
For over ten years now, I have been proud to serve Prime Rib
every Sunday night at Tio Pablo's. Each Sunday afternoon, I
slow-cook two large roasts, and am usually lucky to sell one
or one and a half. (I cater to a small, elite group of local
prime-rib lovers!) In the last few weeks, however, there
has been an unusual uptick in the number of people coming to
Prime Rib Night. Instead of a trickle of locals, large
groups of prime rib-lovers have been showing up, often quite
early in the evening, cleaning me out of BOTH roasts. Of
course, I am delighted to see these new prime rib disciples
at Tio's! However, I deeply regret having to tell people
we've run out--especially locals who have supported Tio's
for so long. So, in response to this new demand, I will be
cooking three large roasts (my max capacity) on Prime Rib
Night from now on. As with all Tio's specials, Tio's Prime
Rib Night dinners are available on a first-come,
first-served basis. But I am hoping this additional quantity
will help entice any previously frustrated locals to give it
one more shot. I promise you it will be worth it!

Mendoza Primary School. There will be food, rides, sporting events, a
dance, crowning of the Queen, "Mil Corazones y un solo fin" walk/run, and an
afternoon Valentines’ Day celebration. This is the first ever! The theme
