La Paz Immigration Office Update.
The new immigration office in La Paz is still not open
yet. As of today, there's still a lot of remodeling being done.
I was told that they should be up and running maybe mid next week ,
around the 10th.

Attention Fine Artists and Artisans. The Third annual
La Paz Festival D’Arte is now accepting reservations for
exhibitors. This year’s Festival will be held Sunday November 27th
at the Marina Palmira. Like last year’s event the 2011 Festival is
timed to give the attendees the fun of holiday shopping for just the
right creative gift. Space will be limited to approximately 80
booths and the best locations will be first come, first served. The
reservation process is the same as last year. Exhibitors must
register at The Art Shop in La Paz, Guillermo Prieto #189 between
Rosales and Independencia. Early bird pricing is $300 pesos, until
Oct. 31. $350 after. Reserve early.
Once again beneficiaries are Baja Dogs & FANLAP. This
year the Festival will also celebrate Nature by featuring an
awareness of the beauty and fragility of the Sierra de La Laguna
Biosphere.
All art forms will be represented & complimented with
music, dance, &

Tip: for people that feel they are doing a good thing for their
dishwasher by rinsing their dishes before putting them in it. Do
not rinse. Scrape off the chunks of food, but never pre-rinse items
for the dishwasher. Automatic dishwasher detergent is highly
alkaline and needs the acidity of the food to reach optimum cleaning
action. Besides, rinsing wastes time, energy and water.

Two good reasons to visit La Paz
In addition to the quality European-style breads from bakery Pan
D'Les in La Paz, the bagel shop has just opened...these bagels are

Both of us will be at the Saturday Farmer's Market at
930 in the post office park at the corner of Revolucion de 1910 and
Constitucion in addition to fresh product at our respective

I wanted to share some experience we
went thru last weekend. We drove to Todos Santos passing by
Cabo San Lucas, road still under construction take your precaution
Then on our way back home we drove by El Triunfo, when
we left Todos Santos we had 1/2 tank of gas, we thought we had
enough, but surprise we were 1/8 th of tank. We were specting to
find a PEMEX at El Triunfo, but not such luck, few kilometers ahead
we saw a sign, crafts, meals and gas at San Antonio town, well
surprise, surprise that gas station has been closed for more than
half a year. Then we saw the sign to Los Planes 10 kilometers, you
will find a big gas station but that sign of 10 kilometers is wrong
