b. For people traveling north through the US border, customs now
confiscates all dog food - opened or not, US brands included. So
Baja Dogs would be a great place to donate before heading north. I
believe the dog food confiscated at the border is incinerated - so
donating it first means it will at least get used. - Charlene Angelo

I am pleased to announce the goal has been reached, even slightly
surpassed, of donations needed for the David Goodman service. It
actually took less than 24 hours and that’s with nobody here!! I now
wish to thank all the contributors for their generous support as I
can now direct my energies in finding a relative. His ashes are with
me for the present until we find a relative or his closest friends
decide what to do with them. I am also working with the Bank to find
the beneficiary to his property and need all the help I can get from
those who new him closely of which I’ve found are not many. Again
thank you friends from Los Barriles, Buena Vista and Cardonal for
your support and to be honest I expected to maybe recoup half of my
expenses. It is truly a blessing that we have so many wonderful
people willing to help, some who didn’t even know him, and with
money as tight as it is, and I am proud to part of this family.

Cardonal for 3 months (Nov.- Jan.). We are having a house built and
would like to be there during the build. We would also consider
doing a house swap with someone if they would be interested in
spending some time in Ajijic - expat community south of Guadalajara
on Lake Chapala. We have a 2 bedroom condo there with a small pool
and full-time gardener about 1 mile from the center of town - close
enough to walk but far enough out of town to be relatively quiet.
