It was brought to our attention that many of you in Ponyland think
the Amigo's/North Beach Veterinary Clinic is owned by ALMA. The
Clinic is privately owned by the Doctor's. ALMA does not
financially benefit from Clinic. ALMA does volunteer at the Clinic
and does receive discount procedure rates from the Doctor's. ALMA
would like to thank all the Veterinarian's in East Cape for their
assistance.
Animal Lovers of Mexico Association
================================================
As you pack up your cars and suitcases for your return to Baja,
please remember the animals. We are in desperate need of collars and
crates this season. If you could swing by the dollar store and grab
a handful of collars and leashes for us, we would truly appreciate.
Some people have already written to tell me they found crates at
garage sales or second hand stores for a fraction of what they cost
here. We need these for our spay/neuter clinics and to help
transport animals to their forever homes.
Thanks for being an Amigo de los Animales!

Dennis Riley’s recent involvement with Mx regs and gringo death
prompts a request for as much info as possible in order to minimize
the problems of those who will deal with the death of a neighbor
living solo without the immediate backup of relatives far distant. A
need to know: whom or what to call and the tel. #s; transport to the
oven ?; and overall cost so that funds can be set aside for the
event. I’m sure there are many ancient ones here that resolve to
live out their warranty here in the sun and don’t want to create
issues when leaving so I would invite a post to BP in response to
satisfy that group or an email to me,
satterleed@yahoo.com.

a. Re: Netflix. A note from the BWO editor: Editor's Note: It's
very likely that NetFlix Mexico will not be a copy of NetFlix US.
The content will be specifically targeted for Mexican viewers, and
many titles available in the US may not be available in Mexico due
to international distribution rights restrictions. Here is a link to
the NetFlix Mexico page:
www.netflix.com/SubGenreList/Mexico/2534. Since they're
offering a one-month free trial, you have nothing to lose so try it.
In case that doesn't work out, there are some alternatives which may
enable you to access Netflix US:

b. Bancomer Automated Bank Problem - On May 16 my husband Dean and
I went to withdraw pesos from the Bancomer machine in Todos Santos.
After putting in my PIN# and the amount, I received NO pesos and NO
receipt and I went to try again and it said I had exceeded my limit.
As this happened after hours there was no one in the bank to report
this to. I called my bank CIBC in Canada to report the situation
when we returned home and the next day went back to Bancomer to
complain about this experience. A woman who was at the "Preferred
Customer" desk said after I told her, "We know, it has happened
before. It's a problem with the machine we are waiting for a new
one. You should talk to your bank about not receiving any money."
Well, today is Sept. 8 and my bank told me that Bancomer said that
their bank machine balanced on that day, which is impossible And I
am out $5000 pesos or $426.88 CAD. Has anyone else has experienced
this at Bancomer? I spend alot of time in Todos Santos and what a
drag to not trust the bank and be able to get pesos when you need
them. Just putting it out there. A little poorer ... Doris
Deutschmann and Dean McQuillen - ,
dorisdmg@telus.net, Todos Santos
(Note: I hesitated to print this because I am hoping it's an
isolated incidence with that particular machine in Todos Santos but
it can't hurt to be informed. Cheryl)
