Hi, I'm Jeff's sister Natalie. Here's an update on
Jeff. We left Mexico on May 9 by air vac with a crew from
Scripps in San Diego on a plane that came from Long Beach
all the way to Cabo to get us thanks to Medcare. We went to
UMC Tucson, you've probably heard of it because it's where
Congresswoman Gabriel Giffords was taken immediately after
the shooting. He was in Trauma ICU but quickly went to
Acute Care. Ryan and Alexa were here and alternated staying
in the hospital at night to be with him and we all took
shifts to make sure he knew someone was always there, We put
up all the pictures and cards that Dan and Kim brought to
the hospital. He had four more procedures to the right arm,
pelvis, right foot and right lung. He was put back together
by the great doctors at UMC.
On Monday May 23, he was transported to HealthSouth
Rehab in Tucson to get strong and mobile. He's got physical
therapy, occupational therapy and every kind of therapy all
day long! It keeps him out of trouble. We anticipate he
will be in Health South until around June 12 when he'll come
to my house for a little dog lovin'. Ryan and Alexa are
coming for extended stays to help him with his recovery.
His spirits are high. I was anticipating some
discouragement, but none so far. He's motivated and
optimistic. Jeff and his whole family are so grateful for
everyone's love and support. Your loyalty has made all the
difference. There will be difficult times ahead, so keep
Jeff (and us too!) in your prayers.

will be checking his email, although I think I saw 15,000 in
his inbox, so response might be a tad slow. If anyone needs

get anything to show until I did sign up. It seems to work
very well for me. The resolution could be a bit better, but
