More on computer passwords: Wondering how good your passwords are?
Test your password to see how secure it is at this site:

on how to choose a secure password. Also, you should not use the
same password for all sites, but how do you remember a bunch of
passwords? I use a FREE program called LastPass which you can get
here:
https://lastpass.com. They do have a paid premium version, but
check out the free version first to see if it meets all your needs.

Yahoo email seems to be the target of a number of email attacks.
These attacks have ranged from harvesting email addresses to actual
takeover of the accounts. I am in the process of changing my Yahoo
Passwords. I encourage you to do the same.
There is also a significant rise in attempts to blackmail internet
users through fake virus alerts. Even the Mac Computers have
endured a recent attack through "Mac Defender". You will see a
"program" that pops up and appears to be running a scan of your
computer. Actually it is not scanning anything, its a Graphic
Program (GIF) that simulates a scan. After the scan, the message
will tell you that it has found a number of virus. It will ask you
to purchase a program from a well known company (fake message) to
clean up the issues. Do not give them any information!!! Do not
click on anything. My best advice is to use the three finger salute
(press the following keys at the same time - ctrl+alt+del) Select
Task Manager, then Applications. Stop all running programs. It that
is too Geeky, Shut Down the Computer immediately!
How do you get these viruses? Pretty easy. There are issues with
cross platform contamination by web sites on the same server. In
English, that means the site hosting the Turkey Recipe web site is
also hosting a web site by a malware developer. That bad guy then
contaminates the rest of the web sites on that server or web host.
Another way to get these viruses: you get an email from someone
you know who recommends that you click on a link to see something
exciting, that link tells you down download an update to see the
video. You have just been infected. You receive
a link to a Facebook page, that page asks you to download additional
software, you have just been infected. It's generally not a good
idea to click on links, copy and paste is best. But, I don't always
follow that advice. I get lazy too. And, I know the bajaponyexpress
link is valid. So, proceed with caution.
