========================================
Two quads were stolen on Thursday night from Spa Buena Vista,
thieves used bolt cutters to remove a gate padlock, and chain
securing the two quads, it appears they were loaded on a truck and
removed from the area. We are awaiting detailed descriptions and
VIN numbers from the owners to post on BPE. BV police have been
notified and will commence an investigation. This is a bummer.

a. Festival Of Saint James In Cabo San Lucas - On Saturday, July
25th, the Festival of Saint James will be celebrated in downtown
Cabo San Lucas. Saint James was one of the original twelve
disciples, and credited with bringing Catholicism to Mexico.
He is usually portrayed as a fighter or miracle worker
riding a white horse. Some Spanish Conquistadors claimed to have
seen his mounted spirit in Tabasco fighting at their side against
the indigenous populations in their early battles in Mexico.
This event will be held throughout downtown Cabo San
Lucas. Parades begin at 2pm followed by closed shops and street
parties. You will see many riders on white horses in the parades and
a re-enactment of battlefield skirmishes at the town square near
dusk. -
b. Wear Your Seatbelts! - Courtesy La Paz Gringos - This morning I
was near the corner of Ocampo and Yucatan and had just pulled away
in my car. I hadn't gone half a block and I was pulled over for not
wearing a seatbelt. Normally I do, I just hadn't put it on yet.
Anyway, the officer offered to write me a ticket there and I said I
would go to the station. We then had a discussion on the importance
of wearing seatbelts and he sent me on my way without a ticket. I
don't believe there was anything corrupt going on as there were many
officers present pulling people over. Just to let you know they do
ticket for not wearing seatbelts. - Jennifer, La Paz
