Note from Palmas de Cortez - THE DORADO SHOOT OUT!
The winner of the tournament was Ulises Vargas from Constitucion,
B.C.S. He fished out of Punta Colorada on the super panga Bohemia
with Captain Alonso. The winning fish weighed 52.1lbs. Vargas won
the Ford F-150 and also won $51,500 in cash for the $200,$300,$500
jackpots. The $1,000 jackpot was won by Esaul Valdez of Hotel Spa
Buena Vista and was worth $17,000. We had 133 teams and 420 anglers
participate in this years tournament. See you next year!

July 25th this year is on a Monday, not Saturday. I didn't see the
date error until a reader pointed it out. That said, Monday seems to
be an odd day for a festival to be held, so now I'm going to confirm
